I'm beginning to wonder a bit about the recipe - it was featured in Ellen Cannon Reed's "Circle of Isis" and a few Kemetic Orthodox friends agree its a "traditional Egyptian recipe". Even without the raisins, honey and wine - it smells delightful, but very smoky, when burned.
Now, it does have some Benzoin, traditionally. Your batch will NOT have Benzoin, however.
