Looking forward to Full Moon
Apr. 10th, 2006 01:20 pmI know there's a lot of folks who hate mid-week Full Moon rituals, but I'm not one of them. On some facet, it's along the lines of "full moon, ritual, Cake & Ale, great family, lots of learning and fun - what's not to like?" variety, but often enough, its because mid-week ritual has a sort of quick, brisk rhythm to it. A jig vs a waltz, its a question of mood and the beat of your drummer.
A long lazy Sabbat day, complete with projects, ritual and feast is lovely, but its the difference between that wonderful casual toss-it-together family meal vs a formal, white-glove eight-course meal. I rather secretly prefer those "roll up your sleeves, folks, we gots work to do!" mid-week Full Moons. And that gung-ho attitude suits me just fine!
Here's the the Hump Day Gung-ho!
