Looking forward to Full Moon

I know there's a lot of folks who hate mid-week Full Moon rituals, but I'm not one of them. On some facet, it's along the lines of "full moon, ritual, Cake & Ale, great family, lots of learning and fun - what's not to like?" variety, but often enough, its because mid-week ritual has a sort of quick, brisk rhythm to it. A jig vs a waltz, its a question of mood and the beat of your drummer.

A long lazy Sabbat day, complete with projects, ritual and feast is lovely, but its the difference between that wonderful casual toss-it-together family meal vs a formal, white-glove eight-course meal. I rather secretly prefer those "roll up your sleeves, folks, we gots work to do!" mid-week Full Moons. And that gung-ho attitude suits me just fine!

Workshop Ahoy!

Its official - Dad is going down to Home Depot tomorrow to buy us a cedar shed, we're to be ready at the Home Depot here on the Island to arrange things on our end.

At 1600 hours tomorrow will be official and we'll get a date for the shed delivery and workshop building for folks who volunteered for the "barn raising"!

ARGHing all over the place

Monday night (as I type, that's tonight) a f*cking Rottweiller is running loose on our street and attacked our van, running with us for about 1/4 mile...911 has been called. Shit, I hate this kind of crap. What is it with irresponsible neighbors and their dogs? About every other month, there's a knock on the door and I'm being asked about a dog running loose, attacking folks, etc.

Oh goodie, we get an interview with the Animal Control cop tomorrow to discuss and sign paperwork. I haven't gotten a good look at that side of the van - but it better be in perfect condition!
