Gotta love when the Universe laughs at schedules

This afternoon was very tightly arranged schedule-wise.

Cardboard box pickup at 3:15

, new sofa delivery at 3:30pm. Needless to say, both groups are running late. Chances are, both groups will show up at the same time, though when the delivery guy called to apologize, I assured him that the later the better this afternoon.

Needless to say, I've had to repost the fugly sofa on Freecycle with hopes pictures will help folks fall in love with it and come get it immediately. Otherwise, we'll be climbing over sofas for awhile since this living room barely has room for one much less two. Update: Someone may be coming to get the old sofa, more to come.

Oh, and WAIF called. They have a (very overweight) Bagel (Basset/Beagle mix) who is homeless. Nice guy named Copper, we've promised to come by tomorrow afternoon to see him.

If I didn't have a clear view of the yard, I'd swear it was pouring rain.

New sofa!

The new sofa has arrived and it is gorgeous! Much better proportions for the room, too.

Sadly, the old sofa is still here so things will get complicated when the folks come to pick it up in the next half hour.

And the old sofa has been carted away.

Hopefully, we can get the living room arranged nicely to take advantage of the smaller proportions.
