Lots of little updates
Mar. 25th, 2008 01:40 pmMy HA1C is down from 6.9 to 5.7 - yeah me! I adore the Nutritionist, Pearl, and expect to have a rewarding relationship with her as part of my diabetic care team. Speaking of which, I'm going to join the Diabetes Work Out Club, which meets Monday and Wednesday at noon. Should be a learning experience and I get to work with a trainer to create a training program specifically suited to my needs - i.e. nothing that requires high impact balance or strains the knee too badly. I expect a lot of yoga, tai chi, biking, etc.
Wendy and Deb came over and together we moved the two large exercise pens (Mufasa & Flopsy, Noir & Nyx) out into the yard. Not quite where we wanted them, but given the terrain of the yard, hanging out between the Temple, master bathroom and garden shed isn't a bad locale. Maybe the next time we get a few strong backed guys over here we can get the rest of the move done. Until further notice Frasier and Bandit will continue to live on the back porch. Still need to power wash the back porch, paint it and the patio furniture, etc. for the Summer. Which means I need to get someone over here to fix the faucet on the south side of the house. Rather than deal with the leak, Josh just turned the water off. Ack!
Finally heard back from the Vet, both Frasier and Thistle finally have their neutering date: April 10th. Thank the Gods!
I'm giving myself the afternoon off! *whew*
