Josh and I took the dogs over today to meet the new folks who bought Loni's house. Lovely military gal with two kids - one in kindergarten and the other in high school. The younger daughter is delightful, Caitlin. The older daughter, Kinley (I think), is very hyper (a Nintendo DS player, too) and prone to a bit of overshare. Both adore our dogs, want to see our rabbits and have the sweetest little dachshund (who Flash is now in love with) Scooby. Plus a small black kitten named Twilight, so now we've three black cats almost in a row.

Barring any unforeseen annoyances, I gather these are folks we can actually socialize with. Granted, I don't know what religion, if any, they are. So we'll see what they think of the circling, chanting, etc. that comes from our backyard.

Thankfully, they've agreed the stupid fence section should go. So we'll move that back and use it as privacy fencing for the circle. Not sure at the moment what will go up in it's place, likely some kind of wire fencing or picket section. Whatever is easier.

I want to thank everyone for the well wishes, special kudos for those who took part in our "good neighbor" ritual about a year back. Gratitude ritual to come, in fact, I think the Gods get a nice gift for this one.

Asshat Summary: Some groomer was selling "gothic kittens" on Ebay with ear, back and tail piercings. Three kittens and a cat were removed, their dog also had ear piercings. The kittens also had "submission rings" which restrict bloodflow, though the article doesn't make it clear as to whether she was trying to get their tails to rot off or not. Needless to say, I expect her grooming business will be in trouble and likely CPS involved, too, for her daughter.

WHAT THE HELL? I've got a 6 month old kitten, I cannot imagine anyone stupid enough to think these rambunctious imps would safely protect piercings. Much less the HUGE metal posts this woman used. Poor babies.

Tiny url provided to Times Leader website, it's a long URL and likely wouldn't fit most browser windows: http://tinyurl.com/45z3gh

Still housebound, but working diligently on our simple website. Granted, I wish I were capable of more complex pages, but for now this is good. Once I manage to figure out columns and tables, I expect the site will read a bit better.

I've now added "How To" pages:
Basic Ingredients
Simple Incenses

I'm also testing a new idea, a Guestbook. Incredibly ugly graphic linking to same on the Triple Pillar's Homepage.

Still brainstorming new ideas for content, please let me know if you have any recommendations.
