State of the Inn: I has a Boo

Kevin/Chicken/2nd Husband is over today helping Josh with the chores, which is really just an excuse to hang out. He brought Boo, whom I adore, so I have an elderly lab to hang out with. It's great to see the old guy get excited and animated when hanging out with our pack. He's such a lucky dog to have found Kevin. I don't know too many folks who would remove their passenger seat in their pick up to install a dog bed in it's place so Boo could be comfortable. But of course, that's just the kind of guy Kevin is.

Having four dogs in the yard is very loud, but things have quieted down now and I figure Boo will be napping within ten minutes if not sooner as the smell of Pulled Pork in the crockpot is soothing him to sleep. Right now he's still awake enough to wag his tail every time I walk near, which makes me grin. It never gets old, folks. It just never does.

Today, the guys will be converting an old rabbit exercise pen into the duck nesting box. Because yes, we do recycle nearly everything around here. Picy goodness to come once things get appreciably started. Me, I'm hanging out inside hoping no one asks for my help. Cross your fingers for me, eh?
