Have you ever . . .
. . . seen firsthand the damage war can do to people or places?
Yes, I see dear friends coming home from the warzone all the time. I also, as a young girl, lived in a neighborhood with a lot of Holocaust survivors. Many of whom we were very close to.
. . . had the urge to kill someone?
Daily, why do you ask? I have a list.
. . . thought of joining the Peace Corps?
Yep, sadly with my allergies and health issues it wasn't an option. Quite a few members of my family are ether Corps veterans or current volunteers.
. . . thought of running for political office?
Thought about it, but I'm the least politically correct person I know. Besides my political thoughts are insane: I believe in the death penalty for corrupt politicians and CEOs/CFOs (you want public trust, you get to fear it!), mandatory employment and education for generational welfare recipients, mandatory national service for young people and that child molesters should be locked in a windowless small room with the child's family for an hour. No questions asked. No recriminations.
. . . been an anarchist?
Not really. I've seen communities with no leadership - it ain't pretty.
. . . switched political parties?
I was raised Democrat, and until I see a viable option that won't hand the election to the Republicans I won't switch.
. . . marched in a protest or rally?
Yep, a few of them. Mostly for gay rights, gay pride, Stonewall, etc. Oddly enough, I've never been to a pagan pride rally. Oh, and I sat in on an Oral Roberts Death Watch at the ASU - though honestly, it was just a really great reason to ditch school senior year.
