I've got a cold and that ain't goodw
May. 27th, 2008 12:27 pmSomething has settled in my throat and head, something drippy and phlemy. My voice is somewhere between stereotypical witch cackle and demonic ravings. And it hurts when I talk. Ugh. Add to that sniffling, sneezing and coughing, achy body and all the other joy-joy aspects of a cold.
Needless to say, I'm taking it easy today. Its a good day for it. Natalie has arrived to entertain Emily, so they are off and running about town. Mum and Dad are at work, so Phoebe (the golden retriever) and I are hanging about the house trying to keep cool.
Did I mention its hot? 79 degrees and humid, with thundershowers expected. I'm not used to this kind of heat in May, this type of thing is more typical of August on the Island. Speaking of which, I just heard the first roll of thunder. Dear Gods, let it cool down, because this is misery.
