Riding around
After exhaustive research and shopping, we finally found the right Cruiser for Josh: a dark blue Suzuki Boulevard 800. Picy goodness to come tomorrow.
The pressure tactics have already begun, trying to talk me into getting a motorcycle. Two problems with that idea, the first of which is I don't know how to drive one. The second gets into that whole Jewish shopping gene issue. Personally, I'd probably do something along a retro-style Cruiser, if possible, in a mid-range power plant. Wish list: A sidecar for Flash and shopping goodies.
Thank Gods I'm 5'7" with really long legs, so they didn't try to steer me to smaller, goonie bikes. Ye Gods. So yes, I have spent the last five days with something powerful between my legs. Thanks for asking.

Look into a used H-D Sportster, dear. And look here. And *please* tell me you've already bought a brain bucket for each of you! Also, without a doubt the best motorcycle glasses around can be found here. Expensive, but really really worth it. I'm planning on getting a prescription pair next year as I've simply had it with trying to find contact lenses that are comfortable for me.

I have my eye check up later this month, my prescription isn't stabilized (as far as I know) so I may continue to wear my polycarbonate glasses under a full face helmet until things settle down. :)
If I'm going to do this, the dealership hosts a three day introduction course that I'll happily take. You know me, never let the pride stand in the way of learning. :) I won't be anywhere near a place for my own bike until I'm a confident rider. Josh's bike fits me pretty well so if he decides he wants to upgrade next Spring I'll take over his bike otherwise I'll see if I can find a full size bike with a sidecar.

And please, love, get a helmet that fits before you get back on that bike. One that slips around is as useless as not having one at all. GRRRR. Don't make me scold you.
