Good news!

Just talked to the vet, Sam is doing great and we can pick him up in a few hours.

And, bonus points, he's neutered!

Testicular massacree we call it around here. :)

My fabulous, wonderful vet only charged me an extra $5 to have him neutered above the cost of his teeth trimming.

You've never MET a dwarf rabbit, have you? :) Most have a classic example of "short guy syndrome" and think they have the biggest balls of all!

You're right...I haven't. Even funnier, now. :)

Srsly - SO many people think "I have a small place = I need a small rabbit" and in general the little ones are hyper and psycho. Whereas many of the larger breeds (10-12 lbs as opposed to 2 lbs) are total "couch bunnies".

That makes sense, really. Very similar with dogs.

Yep, but like any rodent or lagamorph he had really rather alarmingly large testicles.

The vet who owns the practice is marvelous, he surely is, and is so incredibly supportive of what we're doing.

I've taken upwards of four animals in for various things and he's only charged me one office visit for them all. Granted, we're a fairly good customer. The office manager is always joking I should have a twice monthly standing appointment for one reason or another.
