trystinn | Oy - more renovation woes

Project Week Thursday edition was supposed to include Michael finishing off the dining room renovation. Sadly, he's now almost 1 1/2 hour late and not likely to show up. Though I'm sure I'll get a heart-felt reason/excuse for it. *sigh* Update: reason given, expected to show up in next 1/2 hour.

The ducklings survived their first night outside, I'm keeping them in the hutch for now as it's too chilly for me to hang out and supervise them today. Should the sun actually make an appearance today I'll let them out for more play and exercise. It's likely too cold for a dip in the pond - they are only just starting to sprout small feathers and are still covered in down. Without that feather layer, they have no way to keep the cold water from their skin. And that would be a very bad thing since we're down in the forties today.

Meanwhile, Josh is off on his first Patriot Guard Rider mission. He should be somewhere on the 405 by now heading south. This mission came with little advance warning, the death of a World War II veteran. His family contacted the PGR requesting a last minute Ride and the PGR agreed, rallying it's membership. And so, having finishes the Pond yesterday, Josh was free to ride down there and join the other Riders.

I have a few household projects today that I really should get a start on before lunch. We'll see how it goes.
