Remember that I lose 40 during October to food production, so my max will be 38, if the eggs that come with the incubator actually hatch. I already have 3 people who want to buy anything I don't keep for myself, so I'll have no trouble getting down to the 15-18 that I actually want to have around.
My logical floating max is 20 birds, and that will only be for the months prior to the Fair. You can get $10 per bird at the Fair for anything pretty that lays an egg. A Black Sumatra cockrel went for $20. So, I'll be able to get top dollar for a decent laying bird AND sell off any extras. ;)
