trystinnKevin is home, the US Navy dropped him back onto the Island last night. As I'm still deep in seasonal allergy hell, we stayed in to enjoy movie night and pass out candy to kids. Most of the kids who come to visit the animals came by with their folks, so it was nice to make their acquaintance. I'm old fashioned enough to wonder why they haven't come over before to check us out, I admit.
In furkid news, Josh and Kevin took Boo home today, we're going to miss him like crazy. Doodle is despondent that his big buddy is gone, he's curled up with Flash on the sofa. Poor Libby was trapped in our neighbor Patrick's shed last night, which may be just as well. Fortunately, Josh heard her when he was out gathering eggs this morning. Patrick was horrified, he'd been in there last night putting a few things away while she supervised, and assumed she'd followed him out. He's thinking of putting in a small cat door for her. More and more I wonder if these furkids of mine realize how they've got the neighborhood wrapped around their paws.
Aunt B and Mum sent me pics of them in Mum's kitchen this summer. Almost looks like a sorority reunion, given the huge bottle of gin on the table. More and more, I can look at my mother and see myself at her age.
