I'm experiencing some kind of stress-induced exhaustion and general ick. Please forgive me for not keeping up with all your blogs, forgetting ongoing life situations, etc.
We're still awaiting word on whether Josh's truck has been totaled. In the meanwhile, we're down to just my car - so I'm being dropped off and picked up everywhere. I'm willing to admit this is driving me bonkers.
The Chilton's Guide for our motorcycle finally arrived so hopefully Josh will begin sorting out what needs to happen to get it running again. I miss our rides together and more so, miss having another vehicle! (see, how cranky I am?)
Josh and Kevin managed to find a bureau for the den. It's roughly the height of my shoulder, so one of the tall upright ones I like. It reminds me of dorm furniture, big and sturdy with ugly rusted brass inset handles. They screw on, which gives me some hope for reconditioning them. I'm sure there's something I can do about those, but frankly I'm beyond any creative force right now.
I'm sure it will look lovely in there once Josh gets around to finishing the re-organizing the room. He's been at it 3 weeks now, with no real progress made. Needless to say, I'm on the verge of freaking out over it as we have our first host family meeting on Wednesday. For all I know, they'll be sending us home with Jason. *headdesk*
