Ameraucana coop/pen
I've been drooling over coop and pen combos like this, which are greatly suited to the backyard chicken folks who only want to keep a handful of birds. We have four Ameraucanas, so we don't need anything too large and looking at other coops helps inspire me (and frustrate me):

Obviously, I haven't the time or money (or ability) to build something like that, but we can hobble together something in time for Winter. We still have the two independent pens we built when we were rescuing rabbits. One was boarded up to provide a nesting box for the ducks, which they no longer have access to since they are in pens. (Note to self: we still need box options for the ducks - doghouses?) The other is still kitted up with fencing for the rabbits. If we tweak these, we can combine them in an over/under setup for the Ameraucanas.
The black box - We'll need to prop it on its side, board up the bottom, then cut an allowance for a ramp. Build a ramp, then secure the front lift doors to keep predators out. A roost and nesting boxes will need to be installed, I can relocate a few boxes from the Blue Shed Coop - they aren't all being used as the ladies love to lay on top of each other's eggs.
The fenced box - We'll need to tighten up the fencing and make some kind of allowance so I can get a rake in for seasonal cleaning.
We love re-purposing here, given our military family budget. We have most of what we need in the scrap and hardware piles. We can likely bring this in pretty cheaply though the big issue is making sure our money saving doesn't expand into time exhausting efforts when spending a few bucks will shave hours off the work.
Derek and Jerimiah might be available to do the heavy lifting, otherwise I think its something Josh, Kevin and I can do pretty easily.
