Going overboard, together

Today when I got home hubby had several big surprises for me. The kind of big surprises that instantly remind me of the sort of playful antics that made me fall in love with him.
We had previously made a decision to put a collar on Fudge now that he's making regular forays outdoors via the doggie door. So hubby, not being a normal sort of guy, decides to take advantage of the fact we have a 16 pound, long-haired black cat and gets Fudge a spiked collar. Complete with purple name tag and silver bell. I kid you not.

Then, because our history with hamsters has been particular poor of late - (3 hamsters in 6 months), we decide to go all the way: Two female teddy bear hamsters, one of whom may be pregnant, and what's got to be a decent entry in the Guinness record for largest hamstervilles. Frick and Frack, the Tappet Sisters! *Geek points*

And yes, for those who know me: I'm freaking out posting a picture of my library given that the good stuff is up at eye level and the books are messy. Go OCD.
Then, there's the really fabulous stuff. Today, Josh and Kevin went out and bought me a new cabinet to match the one I already have because I've overloaded it with 300 glass jars. So, now, joy of joys, I have two herb cabinets!
The one in the living room, filled with edible herbs:

The one in my office, filled with resins, woods and mortar & pestle sets, etc:

That's an entry we had blocked up between my office and the living room, for those curious.
Yep, that hubby o' mine has been a busy, busy boy!"
