So come on, admit it, they are gorgeous! They seem quite comfortable, very friendly and very interested in having us groom them. And believe it or not - the boys have been clipped for the summer and are at about 10% of their normal hair length.

Those fluffy baby boys are so adorable. I have a new baby boy bunny--Frank--but he isn't very fluffy (he's a Dutch).

Oh man, I'm jealous! If I thought my Lucy would see bunnies as roommates and not as furry toys that move on their own, I'd really want to get one!

Remind me - what species is Lucy? I ask because our cat and dogs are fairly well-behaved around our buns. Tracker, as a basset, is our only real problem child because he was a hunter in his youth.

However, that said: if I have a bun on my lap, Tracker will sit quietly at the other end of the sofa pouting and won't bother the buns at all.

Most folks I've seen with indoor buns (I'm making the horrid assumption you're in an apartment, given where you live) is there's one room that's designated as the bun zone. That way, the bun is safe when you're not around, yet still part of the household.

For us, the bun zone was an extra bathroom we never used. Large enough for running about, small enough to be cuddly. A toddler gate firmly screwed into the doorjam worked great.

There's an old joke in the world of peace negotiations about how you get the lion to lie down with the lamb. Its relatively simple: every day, new lamb.

Lucy is a cat (full name: LucyFur), and she's fairly young and feisty. She treats the smallest cat in the house like a mouse, chasing her and pouncing on her. The biggest cat doesn't move around much, so she's not as tempting a target.

I AM in an apartment, and right now, we have no real space for a bun. One day, maybe. :)

Oh, and Lucy laughs at toddler gates.

What I find so interesting is my hubby wanted them. He went down, picked them out (of eleven) and came home with the Tribble Trio.

I had nothing to do with it, wasn't even on the Island. I'm going into town to buy him a pink hairbrush to brush his pwetty bunnies.

Not the millionth time, had the buns only 24 hours so far, but I appreciate the sentiment.

I am however planning to make scarves and hats out of their fur. Now, who has a spinning wheel to loan me?

Me, neither. I have, oddly enough, learned to card wool (gotta love pagan festival workshops). Which is about all I can do with the bunny wool for now. There are services where you can send carded wool for spinning on mechanical spinners vs traditional wheel. Hell you can send them dog hair, same treatment. I wonder what they smell like when it rains.

I'm told a decent carpenter (our coven has several) can build a spinning wheel without "too much fuss". Will look into that soonest. Also, must learn to purl. HTML would be good, too.
