The woulda, shoulda, coulda list

trystinnWe all have that list, stuff you "would" do if you had the time, money, energy, etc. and "should" do regardless, but maybe its just that you "could" do it if you had the opportunity. For me, this involves such mundane things as re-organizing the library, clearing the yard of storm debris, re-organizing and culling down the household stuff this winter. But the major thing on my "woulda, shoulda, coulda" list was re-organizing den, toward the goal of making it into a guestroom and hopefully at some point a nursery. Now, before anyone goes postal on me - I have his permission as this falls under the heading of natural talents in our marriage. So yesterday I pulled roughly half the furniture, etc. into the hallway and thoroughly re-organized the room.
"Talk about a strange assortment of stuff, dang...
* a very large marble chess set - neither of us cares for the game
* several large enameled Asian "eggs" & a gong - the former being a bit smaller than a football
* two ironing boards and an iron - apprently, we need a backup board? I know we have backup irons in the laundry room
* four briefcases - two with broken clasps
* two guitars - neither of which he plays
* several sheets of glass - broken, of course
* three sets of legal scales - he's a Libra
* a metal lunchbox filled with enamel paints for models
* eight doggy chewed tennis balls
* two beer steins - neither being what I'd consider food safe
* a globe - non-electric, sadly
* four of MY t-shirts - in all fairness, I rarely wear t-shirts
* a very large piece of black velcro - I assume something to do with his naval uniforms
* a telescope with stand - very unstable and wiggles
* an old alarm clock - have no idea if it works
* a boat-shaped kite - cute thing actually, may hang it from the ceiling
* two manual (possibly antique) typewriters - your guess is as good as mine
* one antique sewing machine - appears to be Japanese
* six Millenium Falcons & a death star - among other "collectibles"
* roughly a dozen puzzles and board games we never play
