Rainy day in Bunhala
Sep. 9th, 2006 12:50 pmDue to a glorious overnight rain, the buns look like drowned cats but seem reasonably happy and content. I went out this morning to feed them, see how they were handling their first winter rain, etc. and was able to sneak up on a snoozing Amber, even got to pick her up while she was still sleeping. Her outrage was very cute. I've given them extra pellet & Timothy hay to help them bulk up a bit for the coming cold, but otherwise, the co-ed experiment is going well.
At the moment, the boys are curled up with Amber under the slide and Jet is dilligently trying to dig out of the cage. She's tried in about three places now - its a bit reminiscent of Hogan's Heroes out there, frankly.
Jet: Keep the human amused while I dig the tunnel, boys!
Everyone else: *breakfast munching*
Jet: Spirits up, we'll be free by nightfall.
Everyone else: *water drinking*
Jet: The Evil Oppressor cannot win if we work together!
Everyone else: *yawn & nappage*
Mental note: Check the pen floor for new holes in the security fence, later.
