Gratitude Journaling
Aug. 2nd, 2007 10:55 amI'm going to try very hard to be more diligent this year about gratitude journaling, I got in late last year and was hit or miss with it. Feel free to nudge me from time to time if I taper off.
8/1: I am grateful for very dear and warm friends who are tolerant, loving and supportive of our furchildren. I realize this is a lot of animals (and fur, landmines, eager faces and butt wiggles of joy), even on a property of this size even as we try to keep the bedlam to a minimum. Friends who lend a hand, a gentle pat and a big hug to the dogs and rabbits make my day, everyday. That just about each animal here has their own fan club brings my indescribable joy. And for the few that don't, I'm here. :)
8/2: Today I'm grateful for a quiet day after hosting another 5 hour incense making workshop in my home yesterday. A few of the ladies from the polynesian/japanese/native american ritual came. We had a marvelous time mixing, chopping and grinding herbs and the house still smells heavenly. Being able to share my love of incense experimenting with others and watch them grin like idiots while they learn is more fun than making them myself. The wine, fresh sourdough and chippies were nice, too!
I'm also grateful for our beautiful Island - the mist is only just burned off now, the sun is shining gently and we've a lovely wind coming in from the beach. The glass wind chimes are tinking, dogs are napping about and the rabbits are sunning themselves.
Speaking of rabbits, its past time for the English Angoras to get another haircut!
