A few of my favorite things
Sep. 3rd, 2009 01:59 pmThere is something so beautiful about a calligraphy pen. Which is likely why I have nearly a dozen glass ones and collect bottled ink, as well. I'm always on the look out for a truly great travel pen, as well. Fortunately, there's a wonderful blog that covers both calligraphy pens and ink called The Inkyjournal. The samples pictures are gorgeous! My favorite colored ink is available here, what's not to like it's Chocolate!
Along with a great pen, you need a great notebook. Among my favorites are the Moleskine. This blog covers all things Moleskine.
Then, there's chalk. While I have no aspersions to being an artist, I have to admit I've always adored colored chalk, sidewalk chalk and even the chalk keepers I used to use teaching. All this is really just an excuse to talk about Lifehacker (link goes to chalk page).
Indestructibles is one of those sites everyone should know. Want to make something cool with stuff lying around the house. Just enter what you have in the search engine and it will show you what you can make out of them. I also adore these little books.
With a husband in the military, I've seen an alarming display of safety graphic signs over the years. Some of which were so bizarre they required translation. Glad to know I'm not the only puzzled one out there.
So whatcha got?
