With today's glorious weather we decided to spend the entire afternoon working on Bunhalla, which is really showing quite a lot of wear and tear. Josh and I hung another tarp for rain protection and put the newly completely baby bunny pen in there so Foxymomma, Kodiak and Mistletoe could bounce around for a few hours each day when the weather is warm enough.
We tried a few encounters with the baby bunnies and the Bunhalla buns: Mistletoe is completely afraid of Winken, Blinken and Nod - she ran screaming to me for protection leaving the boys with a befuddled 'what we'd do?' look on their faces. Kodiak did much better, running and jumping around Bunhalla. Once Kodiak is bigger, she'll most likely transition well into Bunhalla. Mistletoe, with support and a security pen for backup, might do well if we take things slowly and let her adjust. As Martha is doing - eating along side Amber and the Boys then jumping back into her open pen whenever she feels insecure.
I'm considering dividing Bunhalla again temporarily to ease transition and socialization. I'm greatly looking forward to our tax refund check so I can get Thistle, Frasier, Mufasa and Flopsy neutered. Not sure if we can ever get all the porch bunnies acclimated to Bunhalla but it would certainly make things a hell of a lot easier on me!
