State of the Inn

I'm still hacking a bit so it's likely time to see the doctor just to make sure everything's okay. I also need to reschedule the mammo, which I'm avoiding for the obvious, if pathetic, reasons.

wastedmouthfull is headed over today (Squee!) After we manage to calm down the dogs, we'll likely head into town and run some errands. I'm going to pick her brain for Winter Solstice ideas though I've rather unfairly given her no notice of this.

Libby's spay is scheduled for Tuesday, I'm convinced she somehow knows this and has been eyeing me balefully. It's likely the cold, but she's been particularly cuddly lately so I'm wracked with mommy guilt.

Sam is petulant. His hormones are finally calming down, now a month after his neutering. All he wants is Kodiak and that has to wait another two weeks or thereabouts. I may try another supervised play to see how things go. I'm still concerned about the size difference, he's 1/3 Kodiak's size and she's a known bully. *sigh*

Gracie's been a sweetheart. I really have no idea how I'd get on without her. She alerts me whenever something is going on that shouldn't and manages to break up naughtiness just by walking into the room, which is hysterical. Flash and Libby were playing last night, she by standing up on the entertainment center and swatting down at Flash. Gracie came inside from her nature call and they immediately stopped and sat down. New cop in town, I suppose.

Projects are on hold at the moment since the schedule is filled. Grrr.

The Commissary is Dangerous

For whatever reason, the Commissary on the Sea-Plane Base has been ordering really great toys lately. About once a month I update the dog toys and donate the older ones to the dog park. Because otherwise they get really decrepit and pitiful. Plus, ya know, it adds to the general dog mess in the living room which is busy enough with all their dog beds. Blech.

Today's recent acquisition, a sort of cross between the Flying Spaghetti Monster (it has tentacles) and a cow (obviousness galore).

There just might have to be pictures. It's that weird.
