The dogs are having a marvelous time playing in the old Bunhalla patch. I've been watching them from the living room sofa, enjoying their antics. The bassets are never out of view of each other and generally waddling around shoulder to shoulder, when they aren't chasing each other about or chewing on each other.
Gracie is getting along with Dozer better, though she's still rather bossy. Now that Dozer is gaining a better understanding of how our pack works, he's been much better at following the rules. Granted, he still gets in the kitchen once in awhile - he's rather stealthy for a basset. We're very strict about our No Dogs in the Kitchen Rule and now that he doesn't think we're playing when we chase him out, he's much nicer to have around. The separation anxiety is calming down and he's not as clingy as he was the first two weeks. Thank the Gods.
Kodiak, sadly, doesn't seem to get along with any of the Bunhalla bunnies. There may be an opportunity to bond some of the individuals within Bunhalla to open up a summer space for her. As for Sam, I'm not quite sure if we can find someone who won't beat him up given his dwarfism. Maybe Moofie?
I'm at loose ends, waiting for The Sound to be printed then delivered to stores. I've lost track of those I've contacted individually, bu I wanted folks to know that everyone's ad made it to this issue.
