Driftwood Circle: So far
Jul. 16th, 2008 09:34 pmPardon the darkness of the photos, I've been running around getting things done and visiting Auntie Tiger with Alicia, losing all track of time. I'd also conveniently forgotten that twilight is a hell of a lot darker under the tree line back there. Mea culpa. *gulp*
This is the base and riser, both of dyed concrete using black dye. Pardon the fencing, its to keep Flash *ahem* behaved. There's a thought to decorate the compass directions with alchemal symbols in clay. More to come on this.

Here is the willow altar top, waiting for its renovation and new home. I'm particularly smitten with this piece, as it came from a tree that was felled by a storm. The symbology of which has always been very close to my own spirituality and magical practice. Its absolutely huge and very, very heavy. It is currently about 8 inches thick at its depth. Not sure where its going to end up after leveling and sanding.
