And thus, we are pigless
May. 31st, 2010 06:53 pmI would have thought that given how many rabbits I've placed over the years, rehoming Spike would have been easier. I've hated to do this and I absolutely know this is the best for him - a big farm with more land and two girl piggies to adore. The dogs will not miss him, nor will Josh. The chickens will miss their protector, but likely enjoy having the feed to themselves for the first time in weeks.
His new family will be emailing me with updates and pictures, hopefully of Spike and his new gals.
There's a part of me that is just a bit heartbroken. He was such an unexpected adventure, a true gift from the Universe in expanding one's perceptions of what may be loved if you are willing and open to the experience.
