Dog Days of Summer

Taking it easy due to an allergy flare-up today. Windstorms that blow through at night are almost always going to drive my sinuses crazy, which usually gives me a migraine. Needless to say, I'm surrounded by hopeful babies who would much rather we go to the dog park or failing that, I should get up and give them treats every five minutes. This is a bit of a stand-off because I'm trying to keep them quiet so Josh can nap, needless to say since these are my dogs they are taking outrageous advantage of that and acting like complete brats.

For example, Doodle is sharing the love seat with me. He's also kicking me every so often, so I keep moving his foot away from my ankle. Which prompts him to kick me again, while looking at me out of the corner of his eye. I shake my finger at him and whisper "knock it off!" He rolls his eyes at me, then minutes later kicks me again. I bare my teeth at him and he stops for awhile, then cuts his eye at me again and kicks me. Again. At this point, I'm ready to put them all out back for these shenanigans. Instead, I pull out the

spray water bottle and things settle down. For how long, I have no idea.

Somehow, Josh manages to sleep through all this. I wonder if he'll sleep through a pizza delivery order?
