Wednesday Featherpet Pic Pos
Sep. 15th, 2010 12:13 pmAlmost feeling back to my normal self, so to celebrate, I'm offering an entirely thought-free, squee fest of poultry pics.
I wish I could have taken a video of this so you could hear the moaning and groaning of the chickens in the coop. They do get cranky, especially when I'm running late!

Speaking of late, Onyx was still laying:

Amber was waiting nearby for her turn in the nesting box, we have others available, but somehow each hen seems to have her favorite:

The flock gathers, waiting for breakfast:

We have too many birds, trust me, I know. Some of the ladies and laddies are heading off to the poultry swap with me next month. Others will be scheduled for processing (Erryn, if I promise not to feed you things you're allergic to, would you be up for it?):

Luca's little flock is getting so big!

Big Blue is a marvelous rooster, very protective of his ladies, and even the ducklings:

They could use a few lessons in flock manners!

The inner yard, post-molt, looks like a duck exploded out there. Gonna be hysterical once the winds kick in and the feathers fill the trees and bushes.
