Tiger and I both had blood tests in town, though at different places, so that took up most of the morning. I hate fasting blood tests, I have to drink gallons of water so they can get a decent stick.

Now home, I've called the painter and asked him to come over to see what his estimate would be for painting that wall and likely the ceilings, as well. I'm at my absolutely patience limit with this painting crap. It must get done and quickly. Or I'm going to do something stupid and do it myself - likely end up in the hospital with an allergy attack to all the latex. Grr.

Noah, the Farm Minion, and his brother are here working hard. The brother, another Joshua, is busy taping up all the trim to paint. If I were really the all-together gal I like to think I am, I'd have thought to buy a gallon of house paint so he could fix the main color, as well. And I need more tape. *headdesk*

Thankfully, Kevin called from the feedstore so I could remind him what dog food brand BooBoo likes. Something he does literally every payday. You think he'd figure it out sooner or later. Or not. I took horrible advantage of him calling by asking him to grab me a 50 lb bag of starter feed. That'll learn him. Or not. Either way, BooBoo gets the good for his tummy food and I get chick feed.

Poor Noah had to nab the ducklings and pop them back out of the pen. They keep squiggling back in somehow. And yes, I really need to get pictures, mea culpa. Might even try to do so today, its uncannily bright out there today. Someone must have sacrificed a goat.

Its a glorious, sunny day out there - which makes for great pictures. The chickens are having a lovely time sunbathing in the dust baths, those layabouts. Unfortunately, they are a bit skittish, as nearly all adolescents are! Rodrigo, Carmella & Imp are up on Craigslist, so if anyone is thinking they'd like a Frizzle breeding program, you let me know!

Rodrigo, our bantam cochin cockerel, gives me the stink eye for coming into the pen:
