Friday Picy Post - Sunshine on my chickens

trystinnIts a glorious, sunny day out there - which makes for great pictures. The chickens are having a lovely time sunbathing in the dust baths, those layabouts. Unfortunately, they are a bit skittish, as nearly all adolescents are! Rodrigo, Carmella & Imp are up on Craigslist, so if anyone is thinking they'd like a Frizzle breeding program, you let me know!
Rodrigo, our bantam cochin cockerel, gives me the stink eye for coming into the pen:
Carmella, our Gold & Black Frizz Silkie enjoys a spot of sunshine:
The Bassets love to sun nap:
The Ameraucana chicks from the Monroe Show enjoy the weather while they await their turn at the water bottle:
The Frizzles love to take dust baths, that's Napoleon, Imp and Carmella:
Which turned out to be a popular idea:
Big Blue looks resplendent in the sunshine, he almost glows:
The bantam speckled cochin chicks enjoy the warmth from their protected pen:
