Oh yes, definately keeping him. We're his third household, can you imagine? He's only 15 months old, its very sad.

OOOO cute dogginess. you need to totally keep him. I hate when animals are shuttled from one place to another. I got my cutie grendel from a shelter.

I would have also gotten a dog, but I am not allowed in my building. I am jealous of you!

That sort of thing drives me nuts, too. I have no idea what that shelter was thinking letting a couple with a one-bedroom condo adopt a basset! Anyone who knows bassets will tell you they need lots of exercise and crave the pack. A solo basset will howl and become destructive.

I have to admit, he's certainly the cuyootness and very, very entertaining (high maintenance, too)!

Thankfully, our home is in an agricultural area so we can legally have four dogs - in town, we'd be limited to two.
