He was rolling a tennis ball around the bathtub, having a great time kicking and nosing it around. The little muddy pawprints all over the tub slay me. I have never met a dog who willingly jumps in a bathtub and plays in it.

Until now.

My cat thinks the tub was specifically designed for that purpose.

I've had cats that lick the water out of bathtubs and showers, but usually my dogs hate the tub due to the necessity of frequent baths to de-mud them. There's a lot of de-mudding necessary in the Pacific Northwest and unfortunately the architects here neglected to give houses mudporches up here.

He's a doofus.

I have one that sleeps in the sink and frequently walks under running faucets to get a drink. Selene is wet about half the time you see her. :)

My dog gets in the bathtub when it thunders, and lies down with his front paws over his head. :)

Awww, poor baby. I had a golden retriever who did the same thing by scrambling under our beds.

We don't get thunderstorms here in any appreciative sense of the term. Its incredibly unusual and I do miss them terribly.

And he's all yours now. :)

Yep, he certainly is. I was complaining/bragging about Flash's adventures with my Mum and after she got done laughing, she reminded me that the last time I had a healthy, happy puppy I was sixteen.

I'd forgotten what this is like entirely.

The cup, btw, is off Josh's sink - all I can figure is that he stood on top of the toilet and nabbed it, carrying it into the tub for added fun.

At least he hasn't chewed through a wall, like our Westie did.

Yes. A Wall.

Buhawawawhhahaaaaa!

Oh dear. My sister's pitbull mixes did that, especially around corners.

[identity profile] wild-heart.livejournal.com 2007-04-13 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Y'know, I could see chewing around a corner. I'm talking about a Westie puppy chewing through a common wall (kitchen/living room) just above the molding. We didn't notice because in the kitchen, it was under a chair, and in the living room, it was under the long low table that the stereo sat on.

Right through the wall. All maybe 10lbs of him. I still can't figure out how he got a purchase on it.

For real household chewing damage, nothing beats a Lab.

Now, did the hole go anywere? i.e. from the living room to another room?

Dogs are very strange.

[identity profile] wild-heart.livejournal.com 2007-04-13 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
The hole went from the kitchen into the living room. Mind you, you could walk around the wall and get to the living room easily enough, and I don't recall his being barricaded into the kitchen.

I guess he was bored as only a puppy can be.

ROTFLMAO

Ingenious little shits, aren't they? The tiny are mighty, I'm told.

I just love that face.

[identity profile] tryst-inn.livejournal.com 2007-04-15 07:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep. That face is pretty much why I allowed Josh to bring home a 4th dog.

I'm such a softie.

It is either:
It wasn't me Mom - I didn't do nuttin..... love me
or
What - you think it is easy thinking up stuff to do?

Either way it is adorable - see in home entertainment.

Momma, it was the cat, I swear!

Goober got his head stuck under the glass shower door this morning. He's something.
