How exciting!

Last night, a glass 8.5x11 glass pan exploded into shards in the oven. Took Josh and I about a half hour to clean out the oven, we ended up cooking dinner in the toaster oven just to be safe. I have no idea what happened but it wasn't one of our Pyrex ones so I tend to think it was just a cheap one giving out.

This afternoon, a bunch of little girls pranked called our home. I've made a complaint with the local police deparment, who is chuckling over the opportunity to do a home visit and give the girls a little, but appropriate, scare. I'm sure most of us did or knew of our friends doing this sort of thing as kids, and its a vicarious and vicious little thrill to know its our turn to be the big bad adults. The officer and I were still cracking up when we ended the call.

Update: the Sheriff called me back, seems the number traces to a local trailer park (I don't know anyone who lives there) so he's going to go over to give the girls a stern talking to! He's looking forward to being a part of their Rite of Passage!

Fun times.

Now I want to know what they said, to see if the jokes have changed.

You know, they didn't say anything - just giggled. I heard back from the sheriff and he told me the number comes back from a local trailer park (I don't know anyone who lives there) , so he's doing a drive by to talk to them!

Wish I could see their faces!

The same thing happened to my sister--except it was on the stove top. :( You don't even want to imagine what the burns on her legs looked like.

Oh poor thing! I hope she's doing well now.
