The APA hasn't recommended the therapy, at least not that I can find in their database, but they haven't outright condemned it, either. Here's hoping they will.
I've only spoken to one MFT who uses it, and he was a militant fundy.
The APA didn't grow any balls... they just formed a committee. Who will issue a report. In a few years. And everyone who has a strong opinion on the subject will probably ignore it.
