My achy, breaky ass
Aug. 11th, 2007 09:55 pmPaula came by around noon (expected her at 10:30 *sigh*) to take me hiking in Fort Ebey. Gorgeous day for it, overcast with a slight chill (low 60s). Located roughly ten minutes south from my home, Fort Ebey was part of the Triangle of Death protecting Admiralty Inlet that defended America during WWII. After a wonderfully hearty burger at The Mad Crab in Coupeville, we wandered about the downtown art fair for a few hours. I managed to find a HUGE glass float, so of course, being float deficient in this household I had to buy one. Fans of the movie "Practical Magic will be tickled to know that Coupeville was the real life oceanfront where Sally kissed Michael, walked downtown to get mail with the Aunts and opened up her store.
It was a lovely day spent with an old friend, though I don't know that hiking almost all of Fort Ebey State Park was necessary, so I'm now ridiculously sore and not at all looking forward to sitting around the bookstore tomorrow afternoon getting stiff.
