Report on the Stitch & Bitch
Jul. 2nd, 2005 12:41 amThursday morning, I picked Seb up at the ferry, brought him home and didn't stop laughing until he left this morning!
We found great prices on fabric and bought (predictably, of course) way too much fabric. I even bought a new pattern for the robes that's decidedly - ahem - naughty. Which I wouldn't have done without him there, I swear! So in any case, we were prepared to "GET BUSY" Stiching.
Best laid plans and all that...
Then we rush home after finding out A was already there, waiting on us and after all the meet and greet for those two, we ended up putting in a Margret Cho DVD and getting not much done at all. Which is fine, just not what I had on the LIST OF THINGS TO GET DONE THIS WEEKEND. Two Virgoans = Little work and much laughter.
Ahh, I'm such the Aquarian. And boy oh boy, was I told this in no uncertain terms by Seb - who generously did Josh's and I's astrology charts as well as a combined one. This was almost like a marriage counseling, (not that we're having trouble - we're deliriously settled in and content) in that Seb offered so much insight and perspective on each other and the dynamics of our relationship that I feel like I have a much greater appreciation for Josh and where he's coming from. Hopefully the same goes for him, though we've yet to have a conversation on it.
I feel kinda bad for Alicia, as Thursday was ALL about Seb - which is kinda par for the course. Seb is so generous, so funny, so insightful and has such dynamic energy that once he arrives, its hard to think about anything or anyone else. Luckily, Alicia (a Virgo, natch) spent the night again tonight so in between working on Ars Philtron (last minute-itis strikes again!)
Seb left this morning in our RV - I felt like bashing a bottle across the bow err-hood of the RV as he drove off giving the "royal wave"...he's going to have such a good time in Portland and at Summer Star, cannot wait for the return to hear all the stories (and finish the f*cking robes!)
Speaking of the men in my life - Josh spent the day with Kevin (another pagan buddy) goofing around Lynnwood, which was great to have the time with Alicia - though I'm somewhat dubious as to their day - which seems to have included a bar, playing pool and buying a George Carlin CD set for tomorrow's trip down to Millcreek for coven training.
Speaking of our trip to Millcreek, Alicia and I didn't finish our robes, but we did finish accumulating all the stuff on those HUGE lists that were required for Initiation - so that's a huge relief. Just the robes are left, and still a month left to do them.
Probably not going to be able to sneak in a long weekend at Tanglewood with Mother and Aunt B, sadly. Maybe this Fall I can sneak out before the next round of Initiations.
Or at least that's the plan, and we all know how my planning gets wrecked by my darling, dear friends. (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.)
