Hubby came home from work all fired up to get to work on the circle. We managed to clear and level half the circle (roughly 12 feet across, at present), removing roots and rocks as we went. My job was primarily trimming the trees and bushes to allow clear access to the circle, as our circle is in a heavily wooded portion of backyard that "conveniently" has a roughly circular twelve foot clearing. After chasing the dogs out of the circle continuously, we managed to get quite a lot done in an hour and a half. After a leisurely dinner, hubby fell asleep on the sofa with a hot pad and the basset hound, the latter of which wasn't helping matters much, so I sent them both back to bed.

I finished writing up my reivew of "Wicca Roots" and posted it to the BTW literature discussion group. Although I'm responsible for two chapters, this one is probably not going to be my favorite - though I did choose specifically to write about "A Goddess Arrives". My reason for doing this were twofold: I've actually read the book a few times and own it, plus I'm getting very interested in the concept of reincarnating back into the fold of BTW.

"I don't talk much about the first time I met my teachers, as its hard to relay in writing, especially across the 'Net. I had been courting various BTW Elders for a few years, finding it hard to gain any acceptance or trust due to my involvement (over-involvement actually) in the ATC. Finally, one of the ladies took a chance and gave me a reference.

I received an email from the husband portion of the husband-wife team telling me where and when to show up and did so. I rang the bell, was brought in, asked to remove my shoes and walked into the living room - colder than I've ever been in my life. Instantly, my eyes met the wife's, we walked across the room to hug each other as we both broke our into tears.

Having never met her, having never email her, not even sure if she was who I'd been told to meet - somehow, I knew her. Knew I loved her, trusted her and respected her. Three things NOT native to my personality, I assure you. Other folks had the same reaction, one lady even told me "We've been expecting you, where have you been?" The sense of familiarity and family has been extreme, there's just no explaining it to folks who haven't been there.

Via dream journaling and scrying each other (for lack of a better term), we've found many common memories between us, usually complimentary ones. I'm really looking forward to exploring this more in the coming years.

So now its been more than a year, I've completed the Outer Grove in less than a year, catching up to their first student and things are getting more and more interesting daily. Everything I'm doing now is coming along smoothly, purposefully and somehow "natively". The concept of "natural work" of my hands and mind definately keys into this very disciplined form of Wicca and I'm really looking forward to the new journey ahead."

Its serious thoughts time, and I'm body tired and thinking deep.

One thing I enjoy about your journal, is that you can delve deeply into and experience the mysteries, but that you are also grounded in the "real" world.

so many people take things to extreme,(all or nothing, on or the other and can't function outside the coven/circle structure. So many can't hold jobs, have homes that are a disaster, don't relate to others outside their circle well, etc...

It's all about balance, and you seem to be doing very well at it.
