At least the bruising is minimal this time and they only hit my right arm. I once left the phlebotomy lab so badly bruised on both arms that an intern asked me the magic question: "are you worried about your health and safety in your own home?" My response was "in my own home yes, but not in your lab!"
I'm a hard stick, what with low blood pressure and very translucent skin. You know its getting interesting when they pull out the heatpads and start talking about topical anesthetic. I generally don't make a noise until they start threading the needle through my skin.
