Home again, home again
Apr. 19th, 2008 03:48 pmWowsa did I pick the wrong weekends to travel!
As I was driving through Everett yesterday afternoon on the I-5 we were hit with a massive snowstorm. White out conditions, which means the Seattlites freaked the hell out and drove like imbeciles. By the time I reached Tacoma it was clear and remained so (for the most part) until Olympia. Delivered the rabbit pen to Trystn & Sadie, then stayed for a lovely dinner and sleepover. After a quick and educational breakfast with Trystn, I hit the road again to head North. With the exception of a bit of hail and sleet, the drive home was pretty uneventful though I do consider it a bloody miracle everytime I manage to get from here to there without being in a major accident.
Unfortunately Friday evening, our community was hit by 4 inches of snow. Which collapsed the tarp overhang in Bunhalla and pulled part of the fencing down. Not enough to let the buns out or Flash in, but still pretty bad. This, of course, is where the necessity for a stronger fence comes in. Not to mention a permanent roofing structure with enough angle so snow, ice and rain are appropriately channeled out of Bunhalla.
All I want is a nap, but I've got to get the tarps re-situated and feed/water the rabbits.

Sorry it was such a quick one, too. If there's a weekend or day off between now and your handfasting that Deb and I would be able to help out - let us know.
