Getting back in the groove

Slowly getting back in the rhythms of life here at the Tryst Inn.

Started a couple of loaves of sourdough last night, giving the starter an additional ten hours to get extra sour. I jump started it with additional instant yeast, because get this - its still in the 50s up here! We're not expected to get up to 70 until July. Boggles the mind, doesn't it? Going to follow up this bit of bread making with Beer Butter Bread Saturday.

Seems the hay fever that has been knocking my ass was New England based. While I'm still coughing a bit with sore lungs, my sinuses are clear. Sadly, Mum & Emily finally succumbed had to bite my tongue from telling Em to walk to the drugstore so she would feel better.

I had scheduled a dump trip today, but in the spirit of tradition, I'm putting that off, too.

You know that's the truth. The other day it was in the 70's with 50% humidity, I thought someone had covered me in a wet paper bag while microwaving me, it was awful.

I just put my sourdough proofing box in the garage, as I don't have any starter currently and have been too lazy/busy to make my own. Hmm. Maybe I'll have to give it a go next month, since it's now been determined that I'm not going on either of the hoped-for trips.

Glad your sinuses are giving you a rest, but I'm sorry about the knee. :(

What the Gods give to one hand, they take from another.

Its s'ok. I'd rather feel better than have a good knee. *WEG*
