Tunnel o' Fun

Furkid Friday
is officially back on the calendar, but here's a preview to get you through the week!

We gave Kodiak and Shadow their Funnel today and they promptly tore apart half their cage playing with it. And that's when they weren't pulling off the paper wrapping or chewing on the ends. Rowdy girls, lemme tell you.

Lots to see, so take your time. Included for your viewing pleasure, a new bunny video!

Hehehe awwwww. So cute! My friend used to have ferrets and she suggested dryer tubing as tunnels, but I'm not sure it'd be big enough for bunnies.

Probably not, especially as they aren't particularly good at wiggling through on their bellies like ferrets are.

Video is up and working, sorry for the delay.

Squeeee!! Bunny cuteness...I'm so deprived of it here in Canada :( Yeah, I figured it was too small. But that's ok. I am in the processes of designing a...Bunnel! (Wow, copyright infringement much? lol)

Hey, they ones I buy are marked Funnel, so what do I know?

Sounds wonderful - I keep thinking I'll get one of those cardboard apartments or castles for my gals. I think Kodiak would make a smashing palace guardian, she's so fierce!

Flexible ductwork. I've now got a attic full of it, and it's definitely big enough for buns.

Hmn. I'll look into it.

Bunnel - it's bigger than a Funnel for all your bunny needs! lol. I bought green nylon sports fabric (the water resistant stuff) and now I just need to get hoops of some sort for supports.

Hehe that'd be cute. Would she be the guard, or a raider chewing down the doors?

Depends on who is paying her, I'd imagine. She's pretty mercurial, lemme tell you.

We're still working hard to get her comfortable being handled. I don't think she was handled very much at her adoptive home and certainly the time she spent feral didn't help either. Shadow and she are doing very well, there's snorgling, grooming and stretching out together.

Sadly, Shadow's little house is taking a hit. Kodiak seems determined to rip it apart. Poor Shadow.

Hehehe mercenary bunny!

One day she will learn that being handled and petted and given affection is okay. Or she could be like her granddaddy Zen and make you work for it lol. Maybe Shadow will educate her :p Like when they used to tie a calm, trained animal to a younger/wilder one.

Sounds like Shadow needs a sturdier house...

Did your shaggy boys ever get groomed?

[identity profile] tryst-inn.livejournal.com 2008-07-01 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Not entirely. They've been brushed out and the major problems handled. Waiting for the groomer to let me know when her schedule opens up.
