My husband is fabulous!
Not only is he accepting of my time away from him and our furkids for the BTW Full Moon Thursday eve (got home Friday morning at 3 am - ouch!), he managed to pull off this amazing command BBQ & Picnic, all while keeping an eye on our chow-hound Tracker. He also ran the shuttle between the base parking and Rocky Point, managed to keep me awake on five hours of sleep and tiny amounts of caffeine, he also made me dinner last night. From my previous post, you can see the Navy wives had fun decorating Tracker...he's the unofficial mascot of the AIMD, at this point.
This morning, Hubby got up and without being asked did the dishes, swept the kitchen floor, vaccumed the living room, hallway, my office and cleaned the laundry room/doggie room floor. Now he's hard at work unpacking the RV, re-setting up my pavillion (which mysteriously showed up at the BBQ - apparently its easier to ask my forgiveness than permission!) and is finally moving the branches from the trees and branches we were forced to cut down last week.
Sadly, too many of our trees were covering the roof, which was prematurely aging our roof since it wasn't getting a chance to dry out between our "island rainshine". So a judicious pruning was in order, which I'm slightly embarassed to admit I like, since the skylights and windows are allowing more light through.
I took this pic at the BBQ, and despite the fog that plagued us until noon (this shot was about 2pm), you can see how lovely it is:
