Yesterday while running errands, we dropped by our mechanic (he runs the local off leash parks) to replace a headlight bulb in preparation for the long drive to Granite Hills Sunday. While there, he ran it through a diagnostic check because he's been our mechanic for 4 years and knows me well. *WEG*

I have no idea what Paul did, but after a quick trip into town, I'm now glaring at the van out front and pacing the living room floor.

It smells like gas, so much so I'm feeling dizzy. And somehow, it went through almost a 1/4 tank of gas in 5 miles. And its shuddering.

What the hell did he do? It was supposed to be a simple bulb change!

Loosened the fuel line, most likely.

Ugh. Any chance its an O2 sensor? There's one right behind that area in the van, as I recall.

Poor Brunhilda! I guess Paul will enjoy a call from you first thing in the morning.

Oh yes, he most certainly will. *seethe*

Fortunately the girls have cheered me up considerably by painting the den an absolutely gorgeous pale slate blue in a beach glass shade. Lovely.

Coffee first, love.

I can't believe there's anything left to paint in your house. :-)

Oh darling, don't tempt me. The laundry room, kitchen and dining room are all original, as is the long hallway to the back of the house. And yes, both porches will be re-painted before Josh gets home. A darker Williamsburg type slate blue.

I love color! I'm completely immersed in the joy of finally owning my own place where I can paint a room whatever color I want that doesn't make Josh want to claw his eyes out!

Since I can't find the comment in which you asked me . . . I hadn't given fudge (or fruitcake) a moment's thought. Are you suggesting that there might be some interest?

I would think so. I've got family obligations in Florida for Thanksgiving and Josh's birthday and homecoming in mid-October, so lots coming around.

Hmm. I might be up to doing fudge in October . . .
