When I picked her up this morning, I could hear her yowling from the front door. She definitely had opinions about being kept overnight at the vet's. The vet techs have always adored her and they had a ball telling me all about her vocalizing. Fortunately, I had warned them about her little Houdini act with kennels - she'll act all sweet and kittenish, then the minute you open the door she's out and across the room, heading for the door. She tried to pull a Houdini on them, one tech said it was the most convincing fake out she's ever seen. She's surprisingly spry and slippery, her coat is so healthy and sleek.
First thing upon getting home and working her way through the dogs greeting her was to eat. My oh my was she starving. Now she's settled in on my shoulder, having completely cleaned the left side of my face (ouch). We'll supervise her to make sure she doesn't bother her stitches, but I don't expect problems. We'll also make sure Flash doesn't groom her for the time being.
We'll take her back to the vet in 14 days to get her stitches removed, but otherwise she's doing great. A nap appears immanent.
