Ice and Snow

We've just a tiny bit of snow and ice left on the ground, it's rather surreal after more than a week of white. The bunnies are hugely relieved and doing well, back in their regular homes. I'll be working on scheduling the fencing project for the new Bunhalla hopefully soon. I'm really quite frustrated in this huge delay (5 months now) and trying to hold my impatience in check. Thanks to Mum & Dad, we have the funds for the roof. So hopefully Josh and Kevin can get that purchased & installed - which I figure will be easier done before the fencing goes up.

Flash's fan club has spent a few hours hanging out at the store, they took him out for a walk so it was rather quiet in the store. We still haven't gotten any deliveries at the store, so things have been quite strained. No new books = very few sales. Worst yet, we haven't any of the books pre-ordered for the holiday. This will be a huge strain financially on the store.

With any hope, Josh is at home vacuuming. Or even working on any of the various projects on his Honey Do List.

FedEx is running three days behind, with five semi's full of boxes left to sort and deliver. It's been excruciating. This ice storm has almost completely halted all forms of transportation - so no book deliveries for two weeks now. :(

argh!
ummm.. well.... maybe by the time you get your books it will be nicer weather.. and everyone will have read all the books in their house and *desperately* need to come to your book store for more...
best wishes.

Thank you, that's sort of what we're hoping for!

Does that mean you don't have to take them because they are late? Kind of like remainder copies?

That I don't know. I know we've somehow already been billed for the books, so the owner needs to make sure they aren't charging her interest on what is owed since we haven't taken delivery.

I'm frankly envious of successful Honey Do lists. Since my Honey moves at the speed of a glacier with projects, I'm looking at 2010 for some completion on the sorting and tossing. ::sigh:: So much for starting work on the upstairs in 2009.

Have you been able to get essentials like foodstuffs and meds?

*snort* You know how slow Josh moves on his own Honey Do list. He's just finally managed to fix the towel bar in the master bathroom that's been broken, oh since about a few months after your visit!

Dairy was a huge problem. I don't know if people were stocking up or what, but trying to get anything other than 2% was nearly impossible.

Meds I'm okay on. I'm a tad neurotic about making sure I have plenty in stock. *WEG*
