Gearing up for the Turn of the Wheel

We've had a rather sudden influx of large orders recently, which had me calling on favors to help grind and mix. This afternoon Alicia and I made more than a dozen individual incenses - including everyone's horror to make The Altar of Eleven Spices. Our hands are still sticky from the Galbanum and Balsam.

I've been experimenting with new Imbolc & Candlemas incense recipes this year as the traditional ones haven't been popular. I'll be featuring Brighid incense, of course, which is absolutely delightful and one of our more popular incenses.

This month we'll be offering additional Sampler Packs (a Divine Sampler #2 & #3) which necessitates additional God incenses. Suggestions welcome. After long last, we'll also be offering bulk herbs!

Also coming in this quarter, we'll be offering additional products via affiliations with Azure Green and likely Peter Stone Jewelry (we have already partnered with Amazon). As well as a very exciting development I'll wait to fill folks in on!

Now I just need, you know, to actually do all that stuff. Whee!

I would love to get out of the house, so if you need any help, let me know! My little guy pretty much just hangs out these days.

Did you manage to get the shopping cart woes dealt with? I cannot imagine your frustration over the receipt of paypal notifications without having first received the actual order.

*hugs*

We should set up a phone call for sometime during the coming week.

Not yet. Grr.

Sounds lovely, I'll work around your schedule.

I still haven't ordered my samples, so I can't talk about your line with any knowledge. But operating from the point of view of "what's generally available out there," I will make the following general comment, and you can take it for what it's worth:

There are lots of "God" incenses in the world, and that's a fine thing. But it would be nice if there were a broader approach to the concept than one often finds. I'd like to see more male deity incenses along sensual/oriental lines (in the perfume sense of 'oriental,' not the cultural), or warm-and-bright solars, maybe citrusy-masculine... that sort of thing. Woodsy-musky-satyr smells are all fine and dandy, but a bit of variety would be a wonderful thing to see. :-) (I'm sure god-related oceanics would be popular too, but I'm not fond of them; too much like frat-boy cologne in my nose, and too hard to make oceanics without synthetic ingredients, I suppose.)

But I'm a big amber-and-spices slut. :-)

Oooh, see now that's a highly usable idea and very inspiring. A real gem.

Thank you, K.
