Furkid Update

The furkids are settling in with Dozer. Gracie, our border collie, is still trying to herd him, which is generally useless. He's worse then the bunnies, who at least respect and obey her although grudgingly. Dozer thinks she's trying to play with him and despite her corrections, he's not getting it. Now, that said - she does play with him and he curls up with her for naps, much to her annoyance. :)

Libby plays beautifully with Dozer and he seems to understand her pretty well, to the point where he gives her a few feet of space before lying near her. Much like the other two dogs, though Flash is as likely to sit on her as not!

Shedding season has officially set in and our resident long haired cat, Fudgie, is beside himself in frustration. He looks rather shaggy, so I'll be bribing him to allow me to brush him.

In further Dozer news, he's apparently infected his right eye so I've a vet appt for him at 11:30 on Monday to get it looked at and treated.

It's always something.

Fur beings are so interesting. My aunt had a ferret who would climb up on a bookcase, wait for one of the two cats to walk by, jump onto the cat, and as it took off running, the ferret would basically ride on the cats back.

Libby pulls that high drop maneuver on the bassets, but she'll jump on Gracie's tushie, as well, but only from the floor or coffee table height.
