7 in 1 Blow

I'd forgotten the annoyance that comes with July - flies everywhere. I can't seem to find how they are getting into the house, I've checked all the screens. They insist on congregating in the kitchen - between the front windows and the skylights. I suppose they are attracted to the sunlight and the kitchen is the only room in the house that gets direct sunlight in the late afternoon.

Fortunately, I'm oddly handy with a flyswatter due to an adolescence spent at horse stables. There's little fly corpses everywhere, so I'm going to have to empty out all the windowsills and scour everything.

Ick factor is high.

Yep, driving me nuts.

Worst yet, somehow, is my husband giving me advice like "whatcha gotta do is go to the dollar store and get a flyswatter. . . " mallarky.

She does, indeed, though usually in our living room. I've cleared off the window sills so she's not likely to damage or knock things down.

Right now she's moping because the dogs are out with Josh for a few errands in town. And she's not.
