I try to get up somewhere between 7:30 and 8am, otherwise the disapproval of the ducks reaches near-biblical proportions. While I can easily sleep through an alarm clock, that "Muh-HA-ha-ha-ha!" of the loudest of them wakes me up every time. Ducks, I've found, are oddly dutiful - they know their job is to forage and they want to get going. Fortunately, it's a gorgeous, if chilly day here at 55F with plenty of sunshine.
"So after coffee is started and the dogs fed, we wander outside to take care of Bunhalla and Duckgard critters. First up, letting the ducks out (you can see Phyllis' crazy crest):

Bernard, our only Khaki Campbell drake, is just beginning to get his Courting Plumage in. Right now, he appears rather gray compared to the brown, penciled ducks (female in front of him). His bill and head are slowly turning green. Here's a close up of Bernie's curly drake feathers:

Meanwhile, the Bunhalla bunnies are getting restless. I know this because rabbits are rarely subtle when hungry:

The English Angoras, unfortunately, still disapprove of their summer haircuts:
