A few times a week, someone drops off veggie tops and extra produce from their gardens for the bunnies. Sometimes it's a friend, sometimes it's someone from the sustainable co-op that heard about us and wanted to donate their surplus. I'm never quite sure who it is, as I come home to find bags of produce on the front porch. The gift of the Buddha is alive and well here. In response, I've decorated up the front porch a bit with petunias and will be re-filling the planters with seasonal plants this week. If folks are going out of their way to donate a bag of veggies to the buns, the least I could do is give them a charming porch to put it on.
"Nod & Winken enjoying the cabbage:

From top to bottom: Noir, Martha & Thistle nomming:

Bernard, our Khaki Campbell, is really showing his drake plumage. You can see him (on the right) compared to the Campbell ducks (aka females). He has dark, curly feathers above his tail, lighter feather plumage and his head is really darkening and beginning to show green feathers, but not yet collared.

Brutus, the Rouen drake (on right) has just begun getting his plumage. You can see the speckled black and white feathers coming in on his belly, lighter gray patches coming in on his back and sides. His beak is also much more green, then Nera, the Rouen duck on the left.
